Event was held within the framework of visit of the delegation of the Ministry of National Defence of Canada to Ukraine.

Parties discussed further directions of reforming and development of the Ukrainian defence ministry, in particular, implementation of Programme of Transformation of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a new defence policy, implementation of NATO standards, civil-democratic control, career promotion, education and social protection for military personnel, as well as anti-corruption policy of ministry.

According to results of the meeting, the members of the delegations emphasized the need to continue cooperation at all levels, further broadening cooperation between the two countries, as well as expressed their readiness to support mutually beneficial partnership in future.
