Exclusive details of the operation to destroy the Tu-22M3 strategic bomber of the russian federation, carried out by the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on April 19, 2024, as well as the established data of russian war criminals from among the crew of the plane, were published in the documentary material of Artem Shevchenko.
It is known that the russian Tu-22M3 bomber, which was destroyed more than 300 km from the front line, fell near the bohomolov khutor in the stavropol oblast of the russian federation.
The aircraft with the tail number ‘11’ belonged to the 52nd heavy bomber regiment (military unit 33310, shaikovka air base, the kaluga region of the russian federation). The said regiment is part of the 22nd guards heavy bomber aviation division of the long-range aviation command of the russian aerospace forces.
On April 19, 2024, the Tu-22M3 bomber took off from the North Caucasus mozdok airbase to stanytsia kushchevska in russia’s krasnodar krai, the line of launch of Kh-22 missiles at Ukraine’s territory. It was his last flight.
“The aircraft was hit at a distance of 308 kilometers, which is far enough. Let’s just say that the fruitful and long work is paying off. […] This is the first downing of a long-range aviation aircraft in this war,” Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov told the BBC.
Subsequently, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine identified the names and the detailed information about four war criminals from the crew of the downed russian Tu-22M3 bomber.
All four were able to eject, but only two war criminals survived:
Full profiles of these pilots and other russian war criminals with detailed descriptions of their crimes are available on a special portal, “The Book of Executioners of the Ukrainian People”, which is constantly updated and added with new information.
