On November 23rd, 2013 a legendary intelligence officer of the Second World War Yevhen Stepanovych Berezniak passed away.
Teacher by profession, Yevhen Stepanovych became a reconnaissance officer in the years of the terrible war and saved the ancient Polish city Krakiv from destruction by the Nazi.
Throughout his long, difficult yet impressive life Yevhen Berezniak became a true Teacher and an example of selfless accomplishment of service duty and love to Ukraine for many intelligence officers.
DIU employees, the leadership and students of Military and Diplomatic Academy named after Yevhen Berezniak, representatives of Military Intelligence Veterans Fund as well as Yevhen Stepanovych’s friends and family all came to honor the memory of the legendary intelligence officer.
