“On the picture you can see a separatist block-post near Gorlivka. The story of this picture is pretty tragic for the separatists. After this raid they lost at least 12 terrorists and an IFV. The best skill, incredible speed and flash-like reaction. Terrain reconnaissance. Safe communication. Optical sights. Cold calculation.
Few people in Ukraine can appreciate this photo. And even fewer are able take it. They are the best intelligence officers. I don’t know the overall stats. But in my personal black stats the highest score is among intelligence. September 7 is the Defense Intelligence day in Ukraine. It is a bit bitter holiday. And it is as well probably the first real professional holiday for intelligence, because even last year we did not have intelligence. Intelligence was creating itself on the battlefield. Intelligence learned, made mistakes, paid high price for the mistakes. Then again they fixed their failures very often at the cost of their own blood.
All these tragic, dramatic and happy moments volunteers were there for intelligence. We have been, are and will be their eyes, ears, their wings, navigators and maps. We are their agents and most reliable partners. We often get information that never even makes it to the staffs. We keep these secrets, we pray for them, so that they could make it back alive and always try to facilitate their job and save lives.
We’ve been cooperating with elite Ukrainian intelligence the DIU since the very first weeks of the Operation. We know their needs better than anybody. On Monday, we are going to congratulate DIU on behalf of all the sponsors of “Comeback alive” organization. What to give as present? Only something they would really be grateful for:
Thermal sight ( $3000 )
3km Range finder ( $2500 )
I have no doubt that after the celebration some of them will go “to work” with our presents.
Will you help us purchase the presents?
