Regarding Priority Areas of Reform of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine
The briefing, given at the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, attracted media’s attention yesterday. In opening remarks, the Minister of Defence of Ukraine Andrii Zahorodniuk reported that the main component of the reform is five main directions of activity of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine which are defined in the Ukrainian Government’s programme.
During the event, priority areas of reform of the Ministry of Defence and the Armed Forces of Ukraine for 2019-2020 were presented, namely: Black Sea region security; implementation of NATO standards; weapons and innovative technologies; infrastructure development; professionalization and social protection; provision of housing; reform of the defence procurements systems; electronic document flow; territorial defence system; anticorruption policy.
