The representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine noted that russia conducted a powerful information campaign, the main goal of which was to convince the European public that the occupiers comply with the norms of international law.

“According to the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, russian propagandists in various places created staged plots. They imported people from the rostov region and Crimea to create a so-called ‘crowd scene’ in order to show how happy people are, how united they go to vote. This picture will be shown to the russian audience and they will try to convince Europe that this happened following international law. But we understand that it is a fake. This is another powerful information campaign conducted by the russian federation, covering up its crimes,” concluded Vadym Skibitskyi, the DIU representative.
