Zdolbuniv district lost first soldier-reconnaissance man one year ago

For personal courage and heroism displayed during protection of sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, the adherence to the oath of allegiance, the reconnaissance man was posthumously awarded the order “For Courage” (3rd Class).

Memorial service and opening ceremony of monument to Taras Yakymchuk took place in Mizochi, Zdolbuniv district – on Hero’s Homeland.

The monument to reconnaissance man was placed near Ukrainian church which he visited and where he planned to get married in October 2014. Hundreds of fellow villagers came to render homage to Hero. “Let his soul of heroic Taras fly in the eternity, – said the attendees. And Ukraine will remember his 20-year-old Hero forever!”
