On the night of 23-24 January 2023, DIU’s fighters conducted a reconnaissance raid in the area of Nova Kakhovka, crossing the Dnipro River on motorboats. With the help of local guerrillas and technical means, the fighters discovered the enemy’s forward command post. Having engaged the enemy, the reconnaissance men destroyed a building with the enemy command post with grenade launcher shots. Taking the landing as an attempt to break through the defence line, the russians deployed combat reserves: a unit of Special Operations Forces, aviation and armoured vehicles. During the battle, 12 occupants, an APC 82A were destroyed and a prisoner was captured. After completing the task, the group of reconnaissance men returned to the right bank of the Dnipro River.
