Members of Ukraine’s delegation participating in the negotiation process with the United States of America and other international partners of Ukraine, as well as with representatives of the russian federation aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace — Lieutenant General Oleh Ivashchenko and Major General Vadym Skibitskyi — held a meeting with delegates of the parliamentary network U4U, an international network of parliamentarians uniting more than 200 lawmakers from 30 countries worldwide.
Members of the network systematically promote support for Ukraine in their national parliaments and at key international platforms.
Among U4U’s strategic priorities are expanding weapons supplies for Ukraine’s Defence Forces, increasing sanctions pressure on russia, supporting the reconstruction of Ukraine’s infrastructure and economy, and actively promoting our state’s European integration.
During the meeting, the Ukrainian side briefed partners on the current situation at the front and on moscow’s intentions to further build up the military potential of the aggressor state.
The DIU thanked international partners for their sustained economic and defence support for our country and delivered a briefing on the latest developments at the front and the kremlin’s strategic plans.
Key directions include hybrid aggression against European states, undermining democratic institutions, and attempts to reduce the volume of military assistance to Ukraine.
Military intelligence also informed partners about plans to increase weapons production by russia’s military-industrial complex, with the primary focus remaining on weapons of terror — drones and missiles.
As Vadym Skibitskyi emphasized, the enemy plans to significantly expand its army in preparation for a possible open military confrontation with Europe.
Glory to Ukraine!
