Please accept my heartfelt congratulations on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian peacekeepers!

Since the first days of independence, Ukraine has taken an active part in operations for maintenance of peace and security not only within the framework of the United Nations, but also within the framework of the OSCE mission, the NATO Partnership for Peace programme and as part of multinational forces.

Ukrainians have always received the highest praise from the world community thanks to perfect professional skills, conducting successful operations, humanity, and self-sacrifice. They have strengthened the authority of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the image of the state in the international arena.

Today, servicemen participating in international missions are courageously defending their homeland, fulfilling their military duty with dignity.

We bow our heads and honour all those who gave their lives for the sake of establishing the ideals of peace and protection of Ukraine.

I wish peacekeepers warriors and all defenders of our state good health, endurance, indomitable spirit and victory!
