Greeting from the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine on the occasion of the International Day of UN Peacekeepers

May 29, 2017
Dear colleagues, combat sworn brothers!

On May 29, the whole world celebrates the International Day of UN Peacekeepers.

Ukrainian servicemen honorably represent our state in many important operations under UN auspices, confirming the high status of Ukraine – an active contributor to world security and co-founder of the United Nations.

On this day, we pay our respect to all those who have taken part in multinational efforts on maintaining international peace and security.

We cherish the memory of those, who laid down their lives for the sake of stabilizing the situation on the planet, performing the noble mission of peacekeepers.

Today, servicemen with peacekeeping experience, who are courageously and skillfully performing extremely complex tasks in the course of anti-terrorist operation in the east of Ukraine, are of paramount importance in the protection of Ukraine against Russian aggression. We are proud of their self-sacrifice, heroism and insurmountable fortitude.

I sincerely congratulate all warriors-peacekeepers. I wish you peace, health, happiness, enthusiasm and success in your tour of duty in the name of Victory and strengthening international authority of Ukraine!

Glory to Ukraine!
