July 15, 2020

Dear warriors-peacekeepers!

Greetings of the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine on the Occasion of the Day of Ukrainian Peacekeepers

Please accept my sincere congratulations on the occasion of the Day of Ukrainian peacekeepers!

Despite russian aggression in the East of our state, Ukraine as one of the founding members of the UN continues to fulfill its obligations within the framework of maintaining international peace and security. Its participation in peace activities as a part of international peacekeeping units under the aegis of the UN, OSCE and NATO provides with an active presence in world political processes, strengthens Ukraine’s authority in the international arena and is one of the main directions of state policy.

Ukrainian servicemen in blue helmets, among whom are representatives of the military intelligence, are always in the heart of events. Their high professionalism and impeccable moral qualities are highly appreciated by the world community. A good example of recognizing our country’s strong contribution to international security is Ukraine’s status as a member of NATO Enhanced Opportunity Programme.

We are proud of heroism, courage and humanism of our peacekeepers and bow our heads to the feats of those who laid their lives for the sake of establishing ideals of peace.

On the occasion of the holiday, I wish all of you a good health, well-being, optimism and faith in our common victory!

Glory to Ukraine!

Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine
Colonel General Vasyl BURBA
