By the Decree of the President of Ukraine from 16 November 2016
№ 506/2016, for personal courage and high professionalism displayed in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, adherence to Oath of Allegiance, 67 servicemen were awarded. Among them - five representatives of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and one representative of the National Guards of Ukraine – were awarded posthumously.

Among the awardees are the warriors of the 81^st separate air mobile brigade, who held their positions near the town of Avdiyivka for almost year, and the warriors of the 93^rd separate mechanized brigade, who distinguished themselves during service in Pisky village near Donetsk.

According to the Decree, several reconnaissance men of the above-mentioned brigades were awarded the “Defender of Homeland” medal. In addition, reconnaissance man Private Dovbnia Oleh Oleksandrovych was posthumously awarded the Order “For Courage” 3^rd degree.
