President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi has signed a decree "On the Annual National Programme under the auspices of NATO-Ukraine Commission for 2020".

Mentioned programme defines the strategic objective of reforms, goals and priorities within the implementation of Ukraine's Euro-Atlantic integration policy, as well as the state bodies responsible for the implementation of these tasks.

The programme is a systemic document aimed at the planned implementation of the state's strategic course for full membership in NATO enshrined in the Constitution of Ukraine.

The programme pays particular attention to meeting the criteria for NATO membership, transferring Ukraine's security and defence sector to NATO standards, and strengthening democratic civilian control.

The main emphasis in the programme is on the state's efforts to ensure the security and well-being of a person as a key player in national security.

The implementation of comprehensive reforms in various areas envisaged by the programme should bring Ukraine even closer to the Alliance.
