President of Ukraine Instructed the Cabinet of Ministers to Deal with the Problem Unfair Accrual of Pensions to the Families of Perished Servicemen
The President of Ukraine set a task for the Cabinet of Ministers to deal with the problem of unfair accrual of pensions to the families of defenders who were killed in the ATO/JFO area. The Head of State heard about this problem from ATO/JFO warriors during meeting in different regions.
“There is an injustice because the soldiers who perished in the war in 2014-2018 received a salary in the amount of a couple of thousand hryvnias at that time. Therefore, the pensions that now go to their parents are very different from the pensions of the parents of those soldiers who perished receiving a salary in the amount of 14, 16, 20 thousand. That’s why the pension there is much lower, and they talk about injustice,” Volodymyr Zelenskyi said.
Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal said that the government would consider possible solutions to the given problem.
