President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko had a telephone conversation with Hero of Ukraine Ihor Hordiychuk, who had been wounded in Donbas and is now undergoing treatment in USA
The Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine asked the Ukrainian Hero about his treatment and rehabilitation.
Colonel Ihor Hordiichuk expressed gratitude for personal attention of the President, the Ministry of Defense leadership and the Ukrainian Embassy in the United States. Ihor Hordiychuk noted that there are unique opportunities for rehabilitation in the American hospital. After the rehabilitation course, he is willing to come back to Ukraine as soon as possible and start fulfilling his professional duties.
The President instructed Ambassador of Ukraine to the United States Valerii Chalyi to take the rehabilitation of Colonel Hordiichuk under his personal control and discuss conditions of treatment and accommodation of the Ukrainian servicemen that will soon arrive to the U.S. within the implementation of the Agreement between the Defense Ministries of the two countries to undergo treatment after severe wounds received in the ATO area.
