The President of Ukraine awarded ATO heroes

According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine № 23/2017 as of February 3, 2017, 94 servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and the National Guards of Ukraine were awarded for personal courage displayed in protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, selfless service. Thirty four warriors from then were awarded posthumously.

Along with the warriors of other military specialities, the President of Ukraine awarded several reconnaissance men with state awards. In particular, officer-reconnaissance man Lieutenant Yarovets Maksym Oleksandrovych was posthumously awarded the order of Bohdan Khmelnytskyi.

Maksym Yarovets was born in Khmelnytskyi town. He studied on the faculty of military intelligence of Military Academy. After graduation from this educational institution, he was assigned to serve in a separate reconnaissance battalion of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

On October 5, 2016, Lieutenant Yarovets perished while performing a combat task in ATO area.

Honorary citizen of Khmelnytskyi town Maksym Oleksandrovych Yarovets ws buried on the Alley of Fame in Khmelnytskyi town.
