President of Ukraine decorated the servicemen, who demonstrated personal courage and high professionalism in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine during the performing of tasks in the area of holding of anti-terrorist operation, with the state awards.

The Head of State signed respective decree on awarding 219 servicemen, 11 of them – posthumously. In particular, there was awarded Sergeant Ihor Halimov – reconnaissance man of the separate Special Forces regiment. Sergeant Ihor Halimov displayed courage and firmness during the conducting of battles in August-September 2014 in the area of Ilovaisk. he courageously countered enemy attacks within a unit, despite the permanent artillery and mortar shelling of the enemy; he took part in breaking through the encirclement, destroying of armor vehicles and enemy personnel.
