Representatives of Department of Intelligence of the National Defence University of Ukraine Took Part in Survival Course with First-Year Students of the University
Experience of combat actions in the east of Ukraine has shown that servicemen have to be ready always for emergency situations, such as: to render first aid to a wounded comrade, to obtain drinking water, food in field conditions, to arrange a shelter. In order to teach officers such individual and collective actions that will help to survive on a battlefield, to save lives and health in extreme combat conditions and under the influence of negative environmental factors, the Ivan Chernyakhovskyi National Defence University of Ukraine organized comprehensive trainings for students.
Trainings were held on water sports base of the educational institution with the first-year students of operational level.
Attention of students was focused on working out tasks on location of units and survival in conditions of forest area, ways of evacuation of the wounded and rendering first aid to the wounded, terrain association, crossing water obstacles, actions of a reconnaissance unit, overcoming minefields, and so on.
