The National Defence University of Ukraine named after Ivan Cherniakhovskyi hosted the V International Scientific and Practical Conference "Application of Space and Geographic Information Systems in the Interests of National Security and Defence".

The purpose of the conference was to discuss the problematic issues of the employment of space and geographic information systems in the interests of national security and defence of the state and develop recommendations on how to solve them.

The conference was attended by more than 300 representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, foreign leading experts on the employment of space and geographic information systems in the interests of security and defence, as well as representatives of scientific institutions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, higher educational institutions of Ukraine, other ministries and departments.
