Within the work of the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War, the bodies of 61 Azovstal defenders were returned in the territory controlled by Ukraine in exchange for 56 bodies of killed russians.

This is to remind, that 210 perished defenders have been returned in Ukraine-controlled territory earlier.

According to the resolution No. 257 by the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine, the Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War was established on March 11, 2022.

The Headquarters includes representatives of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, the Ministry of Reintegration of the Temporary Occupied Territories, the Ministry of Justice, the Ministry of Economy, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, the Ministry of Health Protection of Ukraine, the National Police, the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine, the National Guards, the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Security Service of Ukraine, the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine.

All perished defenders, who returned Ukraine, will be buried with due honors. The Coordination Headquarters continues working on the returning home of all captured Ukrainian defenders.
