Wounded reconnaissance man is in need of assistance
In August 2014, a reconnaissance man of the Navy of Ukraine, Senior Warrant Officer Serhii Anatoliiovych Shkodin was seriously wounded in ATO’s area.
According to the Decree of the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, for courage and heroism Serhii Shkodin was awarded with the Order “For Courage” (3rd Class). The Commander of the Navy of Ukraine Vice-Admiral Serhii Haiduk personally presented hero with an order in hospital.
Today, Serhii Shkodin is undergoing a course of medical treatment at Military Hospital where as a result of a difficult operation, the doctors managed to ablate a numerous splinters from his body; however remains to delete a bullet from cranial part of head.
