In the last week of October 2024, the aggressor state of Russia deployed more than 7,000 DPRK army soldiers from the coastal region of Russia to areas near Ukraine.
The North Korean troops were moved to the frontline with the help of at least 28 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces.
Moscow armed the DPRK troops with, among other things, 60mm mortars, AK-12 rifles, RPK/PKM machine guns, SVD/SVF sniper rifles, Phoenix ATGMs, and RPG-7s.
The North Koreans or, as they are called in the Russian occupation army, “special Buryats” were also given some night vision equipment, thermal imagers, collimator sights, and binoculars.
The DPRK troops, which the aggressor state decided to use in the war against Ukraine, are being trained at five training grounds in the far east of Russia.
