Every year before the Christmas holidays, members of “Plast - National Scout Organization of Ukraine” receive the Bethlehem Fire of Peace from Austrian scouts in Vienna and spread it among the Ukrainian community, to the leading positions of the Ukrainian army in the Joint Forces Operation area in Donetsk and Luhansk regions.

The intelligence officers have welcomed the delegation of the national scout organization.

The Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine has thanked the representatives of Plast. “Thank you for giving the defenders of Ukraine the joy of receiving the Bethlehem Fire as a symbol of Christmas and a symbol of rebirth. As a symbol of goodness that always wins. As a symbol that gives strength to good deeds. Receiving and transmitting this fire, we have to remember that it is a symbol of peace, harmony and love for people. So let he inspire all of us to make wise decisions and give us Christmas joy,” said Brigadier General Kyrylo Budanov, head of Ukraine's military intelligence.

Kyrylo Budanov, the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, stressed that thanks to the efforts of Plastun members, the Bethlehem Fire of Peace will be hand over to Ukrainian reconnaissance personnel, who are now on the line of contact. It will warm their hearts and remind them that they are part of the civilized European world.
