On 24 February 2024, the Chairman of the Polish Sejm Commission on EU Affairs, politician and MP Mikhal Kobosko spoke with the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine's Special Forces personnel, who are being deployed in the combat zone.
This was reported by Ukrinform.
“The most important thing for us is to support Ukraine and pursuade everyone in the West that it is time to help Ukraine now, not in a year or two,” said Michal Kobosko.
He added that there is a growing awareness of the risks of russian aggression against the entire continent in Europe.
“We in Poland are fully aware that by detaining the russian aggressor in your territory, you are slowing down its expansion into Poland, the Baltic States, and the whole of Europe,” he stressed.
In response, the DIU officer thanked the people and the government of Poland for their comprehensive support, in particular for the shelter for Ukrainian women and children, as well as military assistance to our army - 'Krab' SPA, 'Rosomak' APC and other weapons that are now being actively used at the frontline.
However, given the scale and intensity of the war with terrorist russia, Ukraine needs much more weapons.
The Special Forces officer noted that the Polish-Ukrainian border is used as a logistical route for the supply of weapons to the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine.
“That is why we would be very grateful for the rapid unblocking of the border, as this issue is very critical for us in such a difficult time,” the intelligence officer said.
