Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, and his deputy, Major General Vadym Skibitskyi, met with Peter Frølich, a Member of the Norwegian Parliament and head of the Fritt Ukraina charitable foundation.
Thanks to Fritt Ukraina ("Free Ukraine"), Ukrainian defenders have already received more than 660 vehicles, over 4600 drones, thousands of communication devices, computers, generators, and other mission-critical equipment — totaling more than 40 million EUR in aid.
The foundation delivers supplies directly to the front line, and Peter Frølich has regularly worked with Ukrainian units on the front lines.
"The level of support we receive from Fritt Ukraina shows that the democratic world understands the challenges posed by russian aggression. We deeply value this solidarity. By strengthening Ukraine, you strengthen the security of all Europe," said Kyrylo Budanov.
Budanov emphasized the importance of continued cooperation, particularly in supporting special forces and investing in cutting-edge research and defense projects.
"We have been supporting the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion and have delivered hundreds of vehicles and drones to combat units, including Kraken," noted Peter Frølich.
As a representative of Norway's Conservative Party, Frølich affirmed that the cooperation between Ukrainian military intelligence and Norwegian partners is strong. He also confirmed that Fritt Ukraina continues to seek new funding opportunities to provide Ukrainian intelligence units with everything they need.
Major General Vadym Skibitskyi also outlined key threats facing Europe amid russia's ongoing aggression.
"The kremlin is preparing for a possible war with NATO by the 2030s and plans to spend nearly $1.1 trillion between 2027 and 2036. This is the largest armament program in russia since the collapse of the Soviet Union," Skibitskyi warned.
