Strengthening Ukraine and reaching the maximum exhaustion of the aggressor state of russia ― a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Andrii Cherniak spoke about the strategic goal and peculiarities of the work of military intelligence in a full-scale war in an interview for the “We Are Ukraine” TV channel.

“We are not only at the frontline. Our operations take place absolutely everywhere. Our people are working everywhere, doing everything to weaken the enemy as much as possible every day and at this very moment in particular,” emphasized Andrii Cherniak.

He focused his particular attention on the activities of the Ukrainian underground.

“The Ukrainian underground is actively working ― people are waiting for Ukraine to return. People cooperate despite the enemy’s very powerful counter-intelligence activities: on the slightest suspicion, you can be arrested and imprisoned without trial. Despite this, people address to us anyway, work with us, and are very active in helping us,” said the representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine and thanked everyone who operates in the temporarily occupied territory.

Andrii Cherniak reminded that the key task of intelligence remains the collection and analysis of information about the enemy’s intentions. He spoke about changes in the employment of the latest technologies during the war, in particular unmanned aerial vehicles, and described the work of combat units of military intelligence of Ukraine.

“Units of active action of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine are like a scalpel that makes an incision at the right time and place,” he said.
