In October 2024, russia used more than 2,000 UAVs against Ukraine. Approximately half of these drones were decoys used to overload Ukrainian air defense. The Parodiya is one of the main decoy drones the aggressor uses in air attacks.
On November 10, 2024, two such drones crashed in Moldova.
These UAVs do not have a warhead, they are smaller and cheaper than the Shahed 136/Geran-2, but thanks to the Luneberg lens imitate their radio emission.
A detailed look at russian “parodiias” has shown that Russia is not capable of producing even a primitive drone on its own.
The flight controller module of the “parodiia” contains components manufactured by companies from China (Ebyte, Jiashan Jinchang Electron, Yangzhou Yangjie Electronic Technology), the United States (Texas Instruments, Cypress Semiconductor, InvenSense), Switzerland (STMicroelectronics) and Taiwan (SONiX Technology).
