Artillery men worked out such tasks as deployment of command and control posts, fire control and maneuver of units. They conducted reconnaissance of the enemy and terrain reconnoitering, improved interaction with other units.

Artillery men also performed exercises on tactics and special training.

The tactical exercises were held in conditions as close to combat situation as possible.
