Newly Built Reconnaissance Warship “Lahuna” Project Put out to Black Sea for Qualification Test

This is the first this year’s exit of the medium-sized reconnaissance warship of “Lahuna” project into the Black Sea. In general, this is the third exit of the warship, built for the needs of the Navy of Ukraine.

It should be noted that the medium-sized reconnaissance warship of “Lahuna” project was laid at the “Kuznya na Rybalskomu” shipbuilder and floated out on April 23, 2019. Then this warship was delivered by the Dnieper to Odessa on a special floating dock for setting the additional equipment at the Shipyard Ukraine enterprise.

At sea, representatives of the "Kuznia na Rybalskomu" shipbuilder together with the ship crew checked the capabilities and technical readiness of the material equipment, including the main propulsion machinery, components and mechanisms of the warship in order to work in open water area. In addition, it was tested the work of warship technical means, as well as it was checked its capability to operate in a real situation.

It is expected that after all stages of state testing, scheduled for 2021, the medium-sized reconnaissance warship of the “Lahuna” project will join the forces of permanent combat readiness of the Ukrainian Navy.
