Volodymyr, a representative of the DIU International Legion, talked about the details of recruitment to the unit during the nationwide show “United News”.
He reminded that not only foreign volunteers but also Ukrainian citizens are fighting against russian occupants in the Legion.
“We are also very pleased to see Ukrainians in our unit. The entire leadership of our unit and the entire officer corps are Ukrainians. We have a lot of Ukrainians in our separate combat groups,” Volodymyr noted.
He emphasized that the Legion is an active duty unit that needs people with relevant specialties.
“All combat specialties: reconnaissance, mortar gunners, grenade launcher operators, snipers, UAV operators, as well as logistics specialists, medics - all of them have something to do in our unit side by side with very qualified foreigners, mostly from Western countries, who are serving with us. They have a lot of experience that they brought here to help us,” said the unit representative.
According to Volodymyr, the DIU International Legion is looking for people aged 18 to 45, both foreigners and citizens of Ukraine. All recruits undergo necessary training and military exercises.
“Our unit carries out non-standard actions and operations. We prepare our people to be ready, before putting them into action,” emphasized Volodymyr.
Those interested in joining the Legion can write to the official unit's Facebook and Instagram pages. Another way is to choose a vacancy on the LobbyX platform.
