In summer of 2015, the reconnaissance men from the 28th separate mechanized brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, namely Oleksandr Akimfiyiev, Dmytro Nahirniak and Oleksii Krapyvianskyi distinguished themselves through the courage they displayed in fierce battle with the enemy.

Despite the fact that the warriors demobilized, after having served the course of the established period, the brigade’s command has not forgotten their feats.

When the brigade returned to its permanent disposition, the demobilized reconnaissance men were invited to the military formation where the brigade’s Commander awarded them with “Honour Badge” medals from the Ministry of the Defence of Ukraine.

The reconnaissance men were grateful for the invitation to the awarding ceremony as well as for the chance to visit their brigade and to see their combat sworn brothers once more.
