Lieutenant General Oleh Ivashchenko, Head of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, carried out a working visit to the Zaporizhzhia front.

During a joint briefing with the commander of the troop grouping in the sector and the commanders of relevant military units, the participants discussed the current battlefield situation. They analyzed the enemy’s plans and intentions.

They also identified ways to deepen interaction and coordination among all components of Ukraine’s Defence Forces, with particular emphasis on strengthening all forms of intelligence.

Key points of discussion included increasing the supply of modern technical reconnaissance assets and improving the training of intelligence personnel in line with the demands of modern warfare.

Lieutenant General Ivashchenko also heard reports from commanders of DIU military units engaged in combat operations on the Zaporizhzhia front.

The Head of Ukraine’s military intelligence expressed his gratitude to the servicemen of the Active Measures Department and the “Tymur Special Unit” of the DIU for their daily armed struggle for the freedom and dignity of the Ukrainian nation.

“Thank you for your daily work. Ukraine’s fate today depends on our resilience and professionalism. I emphasize that our units must act proactively — this is why obtaining and maintaining high-quality intelligence is critically important. I would also like to extend special thanks to DIU special forces for consistently replenishing the exchange fund and for exemplary adherence to international humanitarian law. We continue the fight,” said Oleh Ivashchenko.

During a meeting with the leadership of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration, the parties discussed priorities for further cooperation aimed at strengthening Ukraine’s defenders and ensuring an effective response to russian aggression.
