On November 26, 2024, the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov spoke at an extraordinary meeting of the NATO-Ukraine Council.

The head of the Ukrainian intelligence service informed the partners about the characteristics of the russian medium-range missile from the Kedr complex, which the aggressor state used to strike the city of Dnipro.

Lieutenant General Anatoliy Kryvonozhko, Acting Commander of the Air Force of Ukrainian Armed Forces, also attended the meeting.

Representatives of Ukraine described the consequences of the attack, explained the challenges and threats to Euro-Atlantic security caused by it, and listed the goals that the aggressor state sought to achieve.

russia's use of the “Kedr” is aimed, in particular, at intimidating Ukraine's allies to deprive them of support for our country in the war for independence.

During the meeting, Kyrylo Budanov and Anatoliy Kryvonozhko called on NATO partners to strengthen Ukraine's air defense system.

Representatives of NATO member states condemned Russia's actions and assured of their continued support for Ukraine, emphasizing that the only adequate response to russia's use of an intermediate-range ballistic missile is to increase the supply of weapons needed by our country to fight.
