“Everything in russia Is Prepared for Mass Mobilization, but They Are Unable to Declare It,” Vadym SkibitskyiThe representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Vadym Skibitskyi has commented the mobilization campaign within russia, aggressor state, in an interview with “Ukrainska Pravda”.

Key points from Vadym Skibitskyi’s interview:

The mobilization process in russia has continued uninterrupted for over a year.

Since the start of the so-called massive mobilization in October 2022, more than 300,000 military personnel have been mobilized by russia.

Every day, russia is conducting covert mobilization to replace losses suffered by its armed forces on Ukrainian territory and to form new units and formations.

russia has recently initiated another autumn draft. [...] russia’s aim is to transfer all mobilized individuals into contract-based service. This process involves various methods, including the use of threats.

Despite these efforts, the overall number of russian armed forces has not significantly increased during this time.

The aggressor state russia is prepared for a large-scale mobilization wave, having updated all lists, shifted to electronic records and enhanced legal requirements and penalties for avoiding military service or desertion in the russian Criminal Code.

The absence of an announcement regarding mass mobilization is also influenced by the upcoming russian presidential elections next spring, as mobilization is a complex process that impacts russia’s socio-political environment.

At the same time, mass mobilization exerts a significant strain on russia’s economy, as it calls upon its most capable population to work and contribute to industrial activities. russia is likely taking this into consideration.

As of now, there is no evidence of the accumulation of powerful strike groups that would indicate preparations for mass mobilization of personnel in russia.
