“Father is being in the war zone for the eighth year in row, and his – son for three years. This is about Ivan with the call-sign “Boroda” (“Beard”), the intelligence chief of one of the battalions, and his son Denys. The father continues serving in the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The son was demobilized and today in his 27 years old he is a war veteran. He helps servicemen to return peaceful life,” Olha Fedorenko, a journalist tells.
Denys is currently working at the “Veteran Hub”; he helps veterans to find work and adjust to normal life.
Ivan is “Boroda” today on the peaceful land. He is in a hospital recovering his health after being wounded and contused wound.
“Peaceful land and the war zone are significantly different,” says Ivan. “Different people, you perceive reality differently. People perish and shells fall in 500-800 kilometers. Here people live their lives, walk, rest, play sports.” And he would like it to be so throughout his Homeland. Ivan believes that peace is possible through victory.
