Today, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has adopted the presidential bill on the consolidation of the course towards Ukraine’s membership in the European Union and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization in the Constitution of Ukraine.
The Head of State commended the parliamentary decision and expressed confidence that the Ukrainian authorities will continue joint efforts to reform Ukraine.
“I am confident that the tasks of membership in the European Union and NATO are absolutely real. Just as we have demonstrated the achievement of other goals that few people have believed, our joint efforts will ensure Ukraine’s membership in NATO, membership in the EU. We are going our way and this is the way to Ukraine’s membership in the EU and NATO,” the President emphasized.
The Head of State highlighted the role of the Verkhovna Rada in the process of European and Euro-Atlantic integration. “When it was difficult, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine rejected the political confrontation and united. And it is unity that Ukraine needs today, it is unity that is needed during our historic voting,” he said.
