russia is Trying to Solve the problem of Junior Officers' Shortage
November 16, 2024

The large-scale losses at the front among junior officers are forcing russia to make another attempt to expand the capacity of their training.

The aggressor state is creating military training centers to provide basic training for platoon commanders, artillery batteries, and deputy company commanders. They are based on civilian higher education institutions.

A junior officer of the enemy army primarily performs the function of leading infantry to assault directly on the battlefield, which explains the high level of losses and, as a result, the acute shortage of lieutenants in russia.

The Kremlin began to expand a mechanism for training junior officers for the war against Ukraine in the first year of the full-scale invasion.

According to the enemy's plans, 33 new military training centers were to be launched in russia by the end of 2024, in addition to almost a hundred existing ones.

This intensification of the leaders in moscow to train even more fresh lieutenants shows that the personnel crisis in the command of the russian occupation army is deepening.
