The rock band ‘Druha Rika’ held a charity concert tour in the United Kingdom and Ireland to help raise funds for boats for the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

The boats are needed to evacuate the wounded Ukrainian servicemen and civilians from settlements where active hostilities are taking place.

During their performances in London, Manchester, Glasgow and Dublin, the musicians raised over a million hryvnias for the intelligence men.

During the concerts, charity auctions were held, where symbolic lots signed by the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Kyrylo Budanov, combat flags of active duty units, chevrons and other memorable gifts from the military intelligence of Ukraine were auctioned off.

While in London, vocalist and leader of ‘Druha Rika’ band Valerii Kharchyshyn gave an interview to Yevheniyia Klochko for her YouTube channel ‘Ukrainian Jenny Meets...’.

The singer spoke about his son, who is defending Ukraine in the ranks of the Security and Defence Forces, about the changes in his life and work caused by the war, as well as about the band’s volunteer activities.

“We are raising money for military intelligence, for the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine. We have a desire and an order to buy a boat, but not only ‘Druha Rika’ is involved in this cause. Because to raise 12 million for a military boat to evacuate the wounded is a lot of money, so we hope other musicians, activists, volunteers will join in, and we will all raise it together and do it,” said Valerii Kharchyshyn.

“Boats for the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine” is an ongoing project of the Diana Podolianchuk’s Charitable Foundation, which is being implemented with the support of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine.

The initiative brings together famous musicians, representatives of Ukrainian and foreign businesses, as well as citizens around the world who want to help Ukraine in its fight against the russian aggressor.
