Citizens of Mariupol plan to rename the street in honor of the perished reconnaissance man
The scout-machine gunner of one of the reconnaissance battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Andrii Nazarenko died in summer 2015, carrying out a combat task near Mariupol.
According to the Presidential Decree of January 16, 2016, No. 9/2016, Senior Soldier Nazarenko Andrii Volodymyrovych is awarded the Order "For courage" of the 3rd degree for personal courage and high professionalism, showed in the protection of state sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, loyalty to the Oath of Allegiance.
In order to perpetuate the memory of the brave countryman, Mariupol citizens installed a memorial plate on the school, where he studied. Moreover, on the initiative of the public, one of Mariupol streets is planned to be renamed in the honor of Andrii Nazarenko. The adoption of the public initiative is to be held on the Mariupol Local Council session on January 28, 2016.
