According to the Facebook page of the British Embassy in Ukraine, the International Sword is annually awarded to a cadet, who demonstrates the best results in training. This year, officers from 26 different countries studied at the Academy, but the best of them became a 20-year-old cadet of the National Army Academy named after Hetman Petro Sahaidachnyi Pavlo Leisi.
The award was presented to the Ukrainian cadet by Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal Anne. In addition, Chief of the General Staff of the British Army of the Her Majesty's Armed Forces General Sir Mark Carleton-Smith awarded Pavlo Leisi with the Medal to recognise his extraordinary achievement as the best International Cadet.
It should be noted that last year the best foreign alumnus of the Royal Military Academy of the British Army also became a Ukrainian – Anton Sovenko, a cadet of the Military Academy.
We sincerely congratulate Pavlo Leisi on the successful completion of his training at the Royal Academy of the Army and we wish him further successes for the sake of Ukraine!
