The legendary “Sumrak” (“Shadow”) Ihor Hordiychuk is awarded the order “For Merits in the Struggle against Fascism in Russia”
The order “For Merits in the Struggle against Fascism in Russia” was presented to Major General Ihor Hordiychuk, Hero of Ukraine, during a press-briefing in the Ukrainian Crisis Media Center by Herman Obukhov, co-founder and coordinator of the coalition “Stop Fascism in Russia”.
The courageous defender of Ukraine was awarded the decoration for merits in resistance to the Russian aggression against Ukraine and courage displayed while defending Savur-Mohyla in 2014.
“It is a pleasure to see that we are not alone, that more and more international coalitions, understanding that this is the adversity of more than one country, are joining. Misfortune can spread to any other state. We need assistance not only in the diplomatic sphere, but also in the political, military, information, economical and financial spheres. Through joint efforts, we will bring the holy cause of protecting our native Ukraine to a final victory, like we promised and swore”, - noted Ihor Hordiichuk, having received the award.
