Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, met with a delegation of Ukrainian Canadians, including Andrii Potichnyi, Director of the Ukrainian World Congress’ “Unite with Ukraine” initiative, and Christian Borys and Yulia Tymoshenko, founder and representative of the “Saint Javelin” project.
Since the start of russia’s full-scale invasion, these charitable projects have been systematically supporting the units of the Security and Defence Forces of Ukraine, including the military intelligence.
The “Unite with Ukraine” initiative has raised $57 million from donors in over 70 countries to support Ukraine’s defenders, while “Saint Javelin” has contributed over $2 million.
These funds have been instrumental in providing essential equipment such as tactical medical supplies, advanced protective gear, unmanned aerial systems, and armoured vehicles for Ukrainian forces.
Kyrylo Budanov expressed his appreciation for the unwavering support of intelligence officers, as well as informing the global community about the ongoing situation in Ukraine and the war crimes perpetrated by aggressor state of russia.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged symbolic gifts and committed to further enhancing their collaboration to strengthen Ukraine’s defence capabilities and effectively repel moscow’s invaders!
