Major General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, sometimes directly takes part in special operations of Ukraine's military intelligence.

This information was confirmed by Andrii Yusov, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in an interview with "Ukrainian Pravda".

"[Special operation on liberation of Ruska Lozova village, Kharkiv region, at the end of April 2022] is not the only example and not the only operation where Kyrylo Oleksiiovych Budanov took a direct part. By his own example, he shows soldiers and even commanders an example of motivation, planning and fulfillment of tasks," the DIU's representative told.

According to Andrii Yusov, Ukraine's military intelligence only benefits from this.

"When the commander is directly 'on the ground', knows and sees what is happening, it allows to make more responsible and necessary decisions," Andrii Yusov noted.

According to the DIU's representative, the enemy has carried out more than a dozen assassination attempts of Major General Kyrylo Budanov and did not stop trying to influence the work of Ukraine's military intelligence in particular, as well as the entire security and defence sector of our state in general.

"Defence Intelligence of Ukraine continues its effective work. All units and everything related to information work, data gathering and many other directions (both public and non-public) did not stop their efficient work. The fact that the enemy is trying and will try to influence the work of security and defence sector in different ways - will continue. But the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine did not stop its work and will not stop one," Andrii Yusov emphasized.
