Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, spoke with Yale University Professor - a renowned historian and totalitarianism researcher - Timothy Snyder.

At the beginning of the meeting, Kyrylo Budanov pointed out the professor's confident command of the Ukrainian language, which Timothy Snyder had learnt in just a year.

In his turn, the scientist expressed his admiration for certain operations of the Ukrainian military intelligence, in particular, the neutralisation of the russian black sea fleet.

During the conversation, Kyrylo Oleksiiovych and the American historian touched upon strategic issues related to the russian-Ukrainian war and the future of Europe and the Ukrainian nation in the family of European nations.

At the end of the meeting, Kyrylo Budanov asked Professor Timothy Snyder to sign one of his most fundamental books, "The Transformation of Nations. Poland, Ukraine, Lithuania, Belarus".

The Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine also presented the guest with a smaller model of the legendary "Magura V5" drone that neutralised the russian black sea fleet, thus saving thousands of lives and bringing Ukraine's victory closer.
