The Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov met with the Director of the Military Intelligence of the Ministry of Defense of the Slovak Republic Major General Juraj Štefanka.

The heads of the intelligence services of the two countries paid tribute to the memory of Ukrainian intelligence officers who fell for the freedom and independence of Ukraine.

They discussed the interaction between the military intelligence services of Ukraine and Slovakia and emphasized the importance of cooperation given the existing threats to European security.

Juraj Štefanka noted the professionalism of the DIU servicemen during the russian-Ukrainian war and expressed readiness to strengthen cooperation.

Kyrylo Budanov thanked for the constructive dialogue and noted that solidarity between the two countries at all levels has a significant and positive impact on the ability to effectively protect a democratic and united Europe.
