Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, has received an award from the Prime Minister of Ukraine Denys Shmyhal.

The head of government personally presented the head of Ukrainian intelligence with a letter of gratitude for his personal heroism and courage, outstanding contribution to the liberation of Ukraine from russian invaders, as well as for planning and conducting operations behind enemy lines.

"This symbolic award emphasises the role and importance of the work of each intelligence man and woman who work every day and night in various areas of the fight against the aggressor state. I express my gratitude to Denys Anatoliiovych and the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine for their comprehensive support and strengthening of the special service. We continue to protect the state and nation from the russian invaders," Kyrylo Budanov said.
