“Historical decision of U. S. Senate regarding the approving the Law on Lend-Lease for Ukraine means that the putin’s regime war against our country threatens the entire democratic model of the world. The very fact of existence of putin threatens the world democracy,” — this was stated by Major General Kyrylo Budanov, Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in a comment for the DIU Press Service.

He is convinced that the decision to grant lend-lease for Ukraine is also of great symbolic importance, because for the first time this large-scale programme was used to completely destroy the world’s evil — Hitler’s Nazism. “The USA makes it clear that Hitler’s Nazism and putin’s russian Nazis are the same cancers, the struggle with which, as before, have to be based on the mobilization of unprecedented resources. Now it is important that this bill is still supported by the House of Representatives,” Kyrylo Budanov said.

“But even talks about lend-lease are symptomatic. What historians and international specialists call a militant (or defensive) democracy is being revived before our eyes. By our struggle for freedom, we have reminded the whole world of the sacred principles of the allies during the Second World War that evil cannot be defeated in white gloves and in politically sluggish debates. The goodness has to be always armed and strong. And the defence capability of democracy, which is demonstrated today by the Ukraine’s Armed Forces and our country, should only strengthen,” the Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine summed up.
