‘Linuks’ Intelligence Officer, “Kyrylo Budanov Was with Us at a Key Stage of Operation in Vovchansk”

The commander of the DIU’s ‘Stuhna’ unit of the ‘Tymur’ special forces unit, call sign ‘Linuks’, toldabout previously unknown details of the liberation of the Vovchansk aggregate plant on the air of national telethon.

He said that an important stage of the mission was the accumulation of our forces and equipment in the area of the combat mission, which was not visible to the enemy.

“For special forces units, this is pure classic. This was a complex multi-stage mission involving a large amount of forces and assets: unmanned systems, artillery, and personnel with experience in gaining control of such premises. So this was our task, and we fulfilled it,” said the intelligence officer.

According to the intelligence officer, one of the important factors was clear coordination between the groups of the ‘Tymur’ unit involved in the assault: the ‘Stuhna’, ‘Parahon’, ‘Yunher’, Russian Volunteer Corps, Belorussian Volunteer Corps, and ‘Terror’.

“Each of these groups had their own specific task, and coordination was ensured. This is always crucial for any unit,” ‘Linuks’ emphasized.

He also spoke about the role of Chief of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine Lieutenant General Kyrylo Budanov, during the liberation of the Vovchansk aggregate plant.

“It is no secret that Kyrylo Budanov often directly participates in missions. Specifically, in that operation, he was with us at a key moment, at a key stage. He was out there for several days to directly lead the mission. Of course, this supports our fighters, giving them better motivation,” said the intelligence officer.
