Vadym Skibitskyi, a representative of the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, told “ArmyInform” news agency about the events of eight years earlier, related to the occupation of Crimea and the prospects of further deoccupation of the Crimean peninsula and returning it under the jurisdiction of Ukraine.
"Deoccupation of Crimea, of course, will include all the listed aspects. But, in recent years, the whole world has become convinced that no restrictions, economic sanctions, world diplomacy, international law will solve the issue of deoccupation of Ukrainian territories. Therefore, we cannot do without the use of force in this process. This is a key factor in de-occupation. How Ukraine will use the military component is another matter.
We see that against the background of the supply of new types of weapons for Ukraine, the russians are transferring new units to the north of the Crimean peninsula, erecting defence structures there. It is obvious that the kremlin is preparing, realizing the inevitability of the de-occupation.
After the restoration of the territorial integrity of Ukraine, a set of necessary programmes will be implemented to restore a normal and safe life in Crimea. The Crimean peninsula will become a popular Ukrainian resort again," the representative of Ukraine's military intelligence concluded.
